I recently was given a book by Don Ross (Team Leader of the Northwest Ministry Network and Coach from Turnaround Church). The book was Timothy Keller’s Prayer. Some of my favorite quotes can be found on Instagram.
To be completely honest with you, this resource could not have come at a better time. While reading this work and having a few key conversations with some of my most trusted mentors, I have felt compelled to become far more intentional in my prayer life. For example, I have recently approached a few close friends with the prospect of meeting on a regular basis . . . asking that they pray with me and for me as the Lead Pastor of Blue Bridge Church.
Why is it so humbling (and sometimes even feels somewhat humiliating) to ask others to pray for you?
