Foreign Agent…

I recently completed the latest release in the Brad Thor’s Scot Harveth Series – this one titled Foreign Agent.

Here are my rankings (to date) of Thor’s books….

  1. Takedown (#5)
  2. The Last Patriot (#7)
  3. The First Commandment (#6)
  4. State of the Union (#3)
  5. The Lions of Lucerne (#1)
  6. Code of Conduct (#14)
  7. Black List (#11)
  8. Foreign Agent (#15)
  9. Hidden Order (#12)
  10. Act of War (#13)
  11. Foreign Influence (#9)
  12. The Apostle (#8)
  13. Full Black (#10)
  14. Blowback (#4)
  15. Path of the Assassin (#2)
  16. The Athena Project (Athena #1)
My favorite quote was when the author suggests, “He guessed it was because evil incapable of creating anything.  It only destroyed.  And beauty, being the ultimate creation, was prized and desired by evil above everything but power” (Kindle, 1254).

This book was entertaining but not innovative.  Thor always tells a great story… but often his ideological exchanges slow down the story.  He tends to build up the narrative and then bring about a solution far too quickly (and in this case, way to easily).

What are your thoughts?  Until then, I plan to continue through Harlan Coben’s Myron Bolitar series.
